Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent substitute
- Minimum 2 years of combined education and/or experience
- CPR and first aid certification required
- Experience with EMR software and Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Phlebotomy experience
- Ability to maintain professional demeanor and effective communication
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- Resourcefulness in problem solving
- Accountability in completing assigned tasks
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced clinical settings
Job Qualifications

- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of ICD-20 and CPT coding
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
Job Duties
- Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in electronic health records
- Interview patients to obtain their medical history
- Ensure all reports, labs and information are available in patient electronic health records prior to appointments
- Secure patient information and maintain confidentiality
- Prepare exam rooms for patient examinations and assist physicians or specialists
- Assist primary care physicians with virtual patient appointments
- Disinfect and clean exam rooms following patient examinations
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following policies and legal regulations
- Keep exam rooms stocked with medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization and properly dispose of contaminated supplies
- Inventory and order supplies, verify receipt
- Maintain logs and required checks such as refrigerator temperatures and emergency medications
- Take telephone messages and respond to patient, physician and pharmacy calls
- Make calls to pharmacy and diagnostic facilities as required
- Draw blood, remove sutures, and change dressings
- Perform other duties as assigned
