Job Requirements

  • Current certification or registration as a medical assistant or graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with intent to obtain certification within 18 months
  • ability to multi-task
  • ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • capacity to work independently
  • strong critical thinking skills

Job Qualifications

  • Current certification or registration as a medical assistant or graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with intent to obtain certification within 18 months
  • ability to multi-task and work in a team environment
  • strong critical thinking abilities
  • effective communication skills
  • experience with electronic medical records preferred
  • prior podiatry experience is helpful

Job Duties

  • Room patients and prepare them for procedures
  • assist providers with medical procedures
  • reconcile medication lists accurately
  • administer injections as directed
  • respond to patient messages according to protocol
  • manage clinical duties including ordering supplies and scheduling procedures
  • clean and maintain exam rooms
  • complete patient paperwork including FMLA and disability forms
