Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified Medical Assistant
  • CPR certification within 6 months of hire
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Effective communication, organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Minimum one year experience in healthcare facility preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare patients for office visits
  • Escort patients to treatment rooms
  • Obtain and document pertinent patient information
  • Process patient telephone calls and correspondence
  • Organize and prioritize duties to optimize efficiency
  • Assist OR personnel with set-up of operating room procedures
  • Perform turnover and terminal cleaning of operating rooms
  • Assist with positioning equipment in the OR
  • Ensure patient safety through proper identification process
  • Model hospital policies
  • Scribe information regularly
