Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of combined education and experience
  • CPR and first aid certification
  • Phlebotomy skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally
  • Organizational skills and detail orientation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Accountability in assigned tasks
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of combined education and experience
  • CPR and first aid certification required
  • CMA or RMA preferred
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Phlebotomy skills
  • Professional demeanor and effective communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and solve problems resourcefully
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience participating in interdisciplinary teams related to patient care
  • Experience working with electronic health records preferred
  • Experience performing toenail clippings and wound dressing preferred
  • Medical office setting experience highly desirable
  • Experience working with medically underserved or culturally diverse communities preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred

Job Duties

  • Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, and document information in electronic health records
  • Interview patients to obtain medical history
  • Ensure all related reports, labs and information are available in electronic health records prior to appointments
  • Secure patient information and maintain confidentiality
  • Prepare exam rooms for examinations and assist physicians or specialists
  • Assist primary care physicians during virtual appointments in patients' homes
  • Disinfect and clean exam rooms following examinations
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following policies and legal regulations
  • Keep exam rooms stocked with medical supplies and properly dispose of contaminated materials
  • Inventory supplies, place orders, and verify receipt
  • Maintain logs and perform required checks such as refrigerator temperatures and medication status
  • Take phone messages and respond to patient, physician, and pharmacy calls
  • Communicate with pharmacies and diagnostic facilities as needed
  • Draw blood, remove sutures, change dressings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
