Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in a library or learning resource center
- Knowledge of library clerical skills such as shelving, shifting, and shelf reading
- Familiarity with the Library of Congress classification system
- Proficiency with library service platforms like Ex Libris Alma and Primo
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office 365, MS Teams, Outlook, Canva, and Google Docs
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Experience in training and supervising student assistants or hourly personnel
- Ability to perform clerical work accurately and efficiently
- Capacity to maintain accurate files and records
- Willingness to adjust working hours as needed
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as shelving books and using ladders
- Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility
- Successful completion of pre-employment requirements including fingerprinting and tuberculosis certification

Job Duties
- Deliver exceptional customer service at circulation and help desk areas
- Aid patrons with printing
- Manage the check-in and check-out process for library materials
- Offer guidance and directional support to patrons
- Assist in planning and implementing systems for receiving, processing, and distributing instructional materials
- Operate, inventory, and conduct minor maintenance on media materials and equipment
- Assist with data entry
- Maintain a media collection including storage, control, and upkeep of instructional materials
- Train and provide work direction and guidance to student assistants and hourly personnel
- Assist with scheduling, coordinating, and conducting basic orientations to groups of students
- Prepare requisitions and correspondence
- Organize book placement, conduct shelf inspections, and preserve cleanliness of library collections
- Ensure clean and orderly study spaces
- Perform related duties as assigned
