Job Requirements
- Customer service experience working directly with customers
- Ability to read, understand, and accurately prepare recipes
- Ability to correctly adjust recipes for required portions
- Use portion control to maintain flavor, appearance, and contribute to cost containment
- Follow written and oral instructions
- Meet all schedules and assignments
- Organize work and work area to complete assigned duties accurately and quickly
- Accurately use measuring equipment and utensils
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures used in hospitals and food service areas
- Knowledge of diets, diet terminology, and dietary abbreviations or willingness to learn
- Passing a criminal background check
- Compliance with mandated reporter requirements
- Willingness to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to perform physical demands such as standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching frequently
Job Qualifications

- Familiarity with diets, dietary terminology, and abbreviations or ability to learn
- Prior large-volume cooking experience preferred
- Current ServSafe or Food Handler Card preferred
- Two years of recent food cooking experience preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare food items according to recipe specifications
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe food preparation environment
- Prepare meals for service areas including tray line, cafeteria, grill, deli, and catering
- Use portion control to maintain flavor, appearance, and cost containment
- Follow written and oral instructions accurately
- Meet schedules and assignments consistently
- Organize work area to complete duties quickly and accurately
