Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- preferably understanding of drafting/AutoCAD
- good attendance and punctual
- ability to work a flexible schedule
- ability to work independently and in a team setting
- must possess valid driver's license, insurance, and be insurable to drive company vehicles

Job Duties
- Complete safety and MSHA training and other site/job-specific required training
- carry out and practice all safety training and company policies in the CalPortland workplace
- provide support to the Oro Grande maintenance mechanical team
- assist in preventive maintenance instruction development
- learn about cement plant operations
- work with plant engineers on diverse projects
- assist in routine housekeeping and maintenance of the facilities
- learn about other CalPortland departments and interface as required
- attend summer intern event at corporate headquarters in Las Vegas, NV
- perform plant tasks as assigned
