Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- one year of related maintenance experience
- experience in maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment
- knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar applications
- ability to deliver high level customer service
- effective time and task management
- attention to detail
- ability to use hand and power tools
- effective communication skills
- ability to work fluctuating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- valid Florida driver’s license
- regular physical attendance required

Job Duties
- Maintain and repair physical structure of buildings and campus grounds
- keep department and campus facilities clean, litter-free, and orderly
- haul collected debris to onsite refuse collection location
- patch walls and install fire extinguishers as required
- repair and maintain door and window hardware ensuring proper operation and compliance
- assist in repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment
- inspect equipment and machinery for safe operation
- perform scheduled maintenance on equipment
- assist electrician in installing and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment
- replace defective or obsolete electric light bulbs, fuses, lamps, and fixtures
- maintain electrical systems, identify and repair malfunctions
- perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs on heating, air conditioning, and mechanical systems
- clean clogged drains and toilets and assist with other plumbing repairs
- operate light equipment, vehicles, and attachments including dump trucks and bucket trucks
- move and assist in moving furniture and equipment
- maintain a safe workplace and follow established safety practices
- perform other related duties as assigned
