Job Requirements

be at least 18 years of age
have a high school diploma or equivalent
basic knowledge of math, weights, and measures
dependable and reliable work ethic
outgoing and friendly behavior
positive attitude
ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
good communication skills
ability to take direction and work in a team
perform general housekeeping including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
adhere to all safety, health, weights, and measures regulations
able to stand for up to 4 hours continuously and 8 hours per shift
able to walk up to 2 miles per shift
work inside temperature controlled area
possess good vision for safe use of knives and equipment
able to lift/carry products between 25 to 90 lbs
able to use a pallet jack to move pallets up to 500 lbs
able to move racks and tables weighing up to 70 lbs

Job Qualifications

be at least 18 years of age

possess basic knowledge of math, weights, and measures

knowledge of safe food handling and cleaning protocols

Job Duties

provide a high level of customer service
practice safe food handling procedures
maintain high product knowledge and preparation techniques
receive, store, and grind meats
unload and transport fresh, cured, and boxed meats and poultry from delivery truck
count and weigh incoming articles and compare results against invoices
examine and rotate meats in storage to avoid aging
assist customers with questions and special orders
maintain a positive, customer-focused work environment
follow company 'Clean as You Go' and 'Fresh at 4' programs
adhere to procedural guidelines set by the Meat Department
