Job Requirements

  • be at least 18 years of age

  • ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • perform general housekeeping including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
  • adhere to all safety, health, weights, and measures regulations
  • able to stand for up to 4 hours continuously and 8 hours per shift
  • able to walk up to 2 miles per shift
  • work inside temperature controlled area
  • possess good vision for safe use of knives and equipment
  • able to lift/carry products between 25 to 90 lbs
  • able to use a pallet jack to move pallets up to 500 lbs
  • able to move racks and tables weighing up to 70 lbs

Job Duties

  • provide a high level of customer service
  • practice safe food handling procedures
  • maintain high product knowledge and preparation techniques
  • receive, store, and grind meats
  • unload and transport fresh, cured, and boxed meats and poultry from delivery truck
  • count and weigh incoming articles and compare results against invoices
  • examine and rotate meats in storage to avoid aging
  • assist customers with questions and special orders
  • maintain a positive, customer-focused work environment
  • follow company 'Clean as You Go' and 'Fresh at 4' programs
  • adhere to procedural guidelines set by the Meat Department
