Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- basic knowledge of math, weights and measures
- be dependable and reliable

- ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

- perform general housekeeping in department
- clean and sanitize work area including tables, floor, walls, cases, cooler and freezer
- adhere to all safety, health, weights and measures regulations and company recipes
- capable of standing for up to 4 hours continuously and 8 hours per shift
- able to walk up to 2 miles per 8 hours
- able to work inside a temperature controlled area
- possess good vision for using sharp knives and equipment
- able to lift and carry products horizontally and vertically between 25 to 90 lbs
- able to use pallet jack to move up to 500 lbs horizontally for up to 5 hours
- able to move racks of products weighing up to 70 lbs horizontally for up to 10 hours
- able to move tables weighing up to 70 lbs for short distances

Job Duties
- Provide high level customer service
- practice safe food handling procedures
- maintain product knowledge and preparation techniques
- receive, store, and grind meats
- unload and transport fresh, cured, and boxed meats and poultry from delivery truck
- count and weigh incoming articles and compare against invoice
- examine and rotate meats in storage to avoid aging
- assist customers with questions and special orders
- follow "Clean as You Go" and "Fresh at 4" programs
- adhere to all procedural guidelines set by the Meat Department
