Job Requirements
- be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- basic knowledge of math, weights and measures
- dependable and reliable
- perform other related duties as assigned
- outgoing and friendly behavior

- ability to interact with customers
- ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- good communication skills
- ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department
- adhere to safety, health, weights and measures regulations and company recipes
- capable of standing for up to 4 hours continuously and 8 hours per shift
- able to work inside a temperature controlled area
- possess good vision for using sharp knives and tools
- able to lift and carry products between 25 to 90 lbs
- able to use a pallet jack
- able to move racks and tables of products requiring significant physical effort
- able to walk up to 2 miles per 8-hour shift

Job Duties
- provide high level of customer service
- practice safe food handling procedures
- maintain product knowledge and preparation techniques
- receive, store, and grind meats
- unload and transport fresh, cured, and boxed meats and poultry from delivery truck
- count and weigh incoming articles and compare results against invoice
- examine meats in storage and rotate meats to avoid aging
- assist customers with questions and special orders
- follow Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4 programs
- adhere to all procedural guidelines set by the Meat Department
