Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- possess a basic knowledge of math, weights and measures
- be dependable and reliable
- exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior
- have a positive attitude
- ability to interact with customers
- ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- have good communication skills
- able to take direction and work in a team environment
- perform general housekeeping
- clean and sanitize work area including tables, floor, walls, cases, cooler, freezer
- adhere to all safety, health, weights and measures regulations and company recipes
- capable of standing for up to 4 hours continuously and 8 hours per shift
- able to walk up to 2 miles per 8 hours
- able to work inside temperature controlled area
- possess good vision for using knives and equipment
- able to lift and carry products 25 to 90 lbs
- able to use pallet jack for moving pallets up to 500 lbs
- able to move racks of products up to 70 lbs
- able to move tables up to 70 lbs

Job Duties
- Provide high level of customer service
- practice safe food handling procedures
- demonstrate product knowledge and preparation techniques
- receive, store, and grind meats
- unload and transport fresh, cured, and boxed meats and poultry from delivery truck
- count and weigh incoming articles and compare results against invoice
- examine and rotate meats in storage to avoid aging
- assist customers with questions and special orders
- maintain a positive, customer-focused work environment
- perform and follow Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4 programs
- adhere to all procedural guidelines set by the Meat Department
