Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • possess basic knowledge of math, weights and measures
  • be dependable and reliable
  • have outgoing and friendly behavior
  • be able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • have good communication skills
  • be capable of standing up to 4 hours continuously and 8 hours per shift
  • be able to walk up to 2 miles per shift
  • work inside temperature controlled area
  • perform housekeeping and sanitation of work area
  • possess good vision for using sharp knives and machinery
  • be able to lift/carry products between 25 to 90 lbs
  • operate pallet jack for moving pallets up to 500 lbs
  • move racks of products weighing up to 70 lbs
  • move tables weighing up to 70 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age

Job Duties

  • Provide high level of customer service
  • practice safe food handling procedures
  • possess product knowledge and preparation techniques
  • receive, store, and grind meats
  • unload and transport fresh, cured, and boxed meats and poultry from delivery trucks
  • count and weigh incoming articles and compare results against invoices
  • examine and rotate meats in storage to avoid aging
  • assist customers with questions and special orders
  • maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by following "Clean as You Go" and "Fresh at 4" programs
