Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a retail or food service environment preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 80 pounds
  • Availability to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Compliance with food safety standards and department procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with customers and personnel
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle a diverse crew in a stressful environment
  • Complete understanding of all safety requirements and company policies
  • Knowledge of slicers, proper lifting techniques, trash compactor, and baler operation

Job Duties

  • Assist guests with locating items on or off the sales floor
  • Receive, prepare, and fulfill guest orders and special requests
  • Provide excellent guest service by answering department telephone and interacting on the sales floor
  • Wrap meat and seafood in appropriate packaging
  • Ensure accurate pricing and proper product rotation on displays
  • Support teammates and contribute positively to department culture
  • Address guest concerns and resolve issues following the boomerang principle
  • Inspect, rotate, maintain proper temperatures, and replenish meat products
  • Maintain inventory levels of packaging materials and supplies
  • Maintain food safety logs and follow proper procedures
  • Ensure quality standards and quantity expectations are met
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Maintain regular and timely attendance
