Job Requirements
- No prior retail experience required
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Able to stand or walk for 6-8 hours per day
- Capable of hand use including grasping and manipulating
- Able to bend, twist, squat, and reach
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- Exposure to temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to work in wet and cold environments
- Ability to handle knives and other cutting equipment
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to use tools and equipment including box cutters and electric pallet jacks
Job Qualifications
- Ability to sell proactively
- Basic knowledge of all products carried in department
- Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness
- Familiarity with product labels
- Ability to assist with inventory checks
- Clear communication skills
- Ability to meet customer service expectations
- Ability to follow directions and manage time effectively

Job Duties
- Ensures fresh and appealing meat displays by checking quality and stocking
- Maintains back stock in good order
- Assists with sampling program and keeps sample areas full and clean
- Cleans cases, glass, signs, coolers, smokers, floors, and drains
- Arrives to work station on time and ready to work
- Provides excellent customer service and models suggestive selling techniques
- Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising
- Follows established procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
- Maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
- Performs opening, mid, and closing duties ensuring accuracy of signs and pricing
- Reports safety hazards immediately
- Performs other duties as assigned by leadership
