Job Duties
- Collaborates with other associates to build a strong meat team
- communicates with team members and is flexible to work in other areas
- demonstrates knowledge of the floor business, backroom operations, product safety, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and equipment operation and maintenance
- prepares meat products by cutting, grinding, wrapping, and trimming according to standards
- maintains product quality standards and cuts boneless meat
- utilizes handheld technology to improve sales and shopping experience
- ensures commitment to operational excellence including maintaining work area and following policies
- secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise
- eliminates waste
- assists members with purchasing decisions
- ensures proper packaging, labeling, and storage of merchandise
- advocates for department by modeling high-quality service and products
- complies with company policies, procedures, and ethics
- completes work assignments by collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners
- communicates progress and adapts to feedback and change
