Job Duties

  • Collaborates with other associates to build a strong meat team
  • communicates with team members and is flexible to work in other areas
  • demonstrates knowledge of the floor business, backroom operations, product safety, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and equipment operation and maintenance
  • prepares meat products by cutting, grinding, wrapping, and trimming according to standards
  • maintains product quality standards and cuts boneless meat
  • utilizes handheld technology to improve sales and shopping experience
  • ensures commitment to operational excellence including maintaining work area and following policies
  • secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise
  • eliminates waste
  • assists members with purchasing decisions
  • ensures proper packaging, labeling, and storage of merchandise
  • advocates for department by modeling high-quality service and products
  • complies with company policies, procedures, and ethics
  • completes work assignments by collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners
  • communicates progress and adapts to feedback and change
