Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- knowledge of meat cutting and preparation techniques preferred
- experience working in a retail or food service environment preferred
- strong communication and customer service skills
- ability to use digital tools and technology in the workplace
Job Duties
- Collaborate with other associates to build a strong meat team
- demonstrate knowledge of business on the floor, backroom operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and equipment operation
- prepare meat products according to established standards including cutting, grinding, wrapping, and trimming
- leverage digital tools to drive sales and improve shopping experience
- ensure commitment to operational excellence by maintaining work area, quality and date control standards, and proper packaging and labeling
- act as an advocate for the department by modeling high quality service and products
- comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity
