Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in meat cutting or fresh food departments is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to use handheld technology and digital tools for inventory and sales
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Customer service orientation
- Flexibility to work in other areas as needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods
Job Duties
- Collaborates with other associates to build a strong meat team
- Demonstrates knowledge of business on the floor, backroom operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and equipment operation
- Prepares meat products including cutting, grinding, wrapping, and trimming according to established standards
- Leverages digital tools to drive sales and enhance the shopping experience
- Maintains commitment to operational excellence, ensuring quality and date control standards for meat products
- Assists members with purchasing decisions and ensures merchandise is properly packaged and labeled
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity
