Job Qualifications

  • previous experience in meat cutting or food service considered an asset

Job Duties

  • Collaborates with other associates to build a strong meat team
  • communicates with team members and adapts to business needs by working in other areas
  • demonstrates knowledge of floor and backroom operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and equipment maintenance
  • prepares meat products according to established standards including cutting, grinding, wrapping, and trimming
  • uses handheld technology to make business decisions related to production, training, and product quality
  • maintains commitment to operational excellence by ensuring work area cleanliness and compliance with company policies
  • secures merchandise and eliminates waste
  • assists members with purchasing decisions
  • ensures proper packaging, labeling, and storage of products
  • advocates for the department by modeling high quality service and products
  • complies with company policies and ethical standards
  • completes work assignments by collaborating with managers, co-workers, and customers and adapts to feedback and change
  • provides exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting members with a positive attitude
  • maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area
