Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Six months to one year related experience and/or training
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods
- Capability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds frequently
- Good vision including close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
- Ability to use hands and arms for physical tasks
- Excellent communication skills
Job Qualifications

- Six months to one year related experience and/or training
- Knowledge of meat cutting techniques
- Ability to operate cutting tools and equipment safely
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment
Job Duties
- Cuts, trims, and bones carcass sections or prime cuts to reduce to cooking cuts such as roasts, steaks, chops, stew cubes, and grinding meat
- Works out by products like lamb necks, riblets, and veal products ensuring freshness
- Breaks veal and lamb
- Cuts and weighs steaks and chops for individual servings
- Shapes and ties roasts
- Fills showcase once the meat has been cut
- Receives, inspects, and stores meat upon delivery
- Informs Meat Manager on stock status, especially item shortages
- Provides customers with information about cuts of lamb, pork, beef, poultry, sausage, convenience items, and self-serve products
- Prepares convenience items for the showcase including kabobs, stir-fry, stuffed, and marinated items
- Provides customer guidance on preparation of showcase products
- Learns Assistant Manager job responsibilities for potential future advancement
