Job Duties
- Cuts trims and bones carcass sections or prime cuts to cooking cuts such as roasts steaks chops stew cubes and grinding meat
- Works out by products such as lamb necks riblets veal products ensuring nothing gets old
- Breaks veal and lamb
- Cuts and weighs steaks and chops for individual servings
- Shapes and ties roasts and fills showcase once meat has been cut
- Receives inspects and stores meat upon delivery
- Informs Meat Manager on stock status especially shortages
- Provides customers with information on cuts of lamb pork beef poultry and types of sausage convenience and self-serve items
- Prepares convenience items for showcase including kabobs stir-fry stuffed and marinated items
- Provides customers with preparation advice on products in the showcase
- Learns Assistant Manager responsibilities for future advancement consideration
