Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Six months to one year related experience or training
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds frequently
  • Stand or sit for long periods
  • Good vision including close and peripheral vision
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and team player

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Six months to one year related experience or training
  • Strong knowledge of meat cuts and preparation methods
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Supervisory experience is a plus
  • Good communication skills

Job Duties

  • Cut, trims, and bone carcass sections or prime cuts to cooking cuts such as roasts, steaks, chops, stew cubes, and grinding meat
  • Work out by products such as lamb necks, riblets, veal products to ensure freshness
  • Break veal and lamb
  • Cut and weigh steaks and chops for individual servings
  • Shape and tie roasts and fill showcase once meat has been cut
  • Receive, inspect, and store meat upon delivery
  • Inform Meat Manager on the status of stock and shortages
  • Provide information to customers about cuts of lamb, pork, beef, poultry, and types of sausage
  • Prepare convenience items for the showcase including kabobs, stir-fry, stuffed items, and marinated items
  • Provide customers with information regarding preparation of showcased products
  • Learn Assistant Manager job responsibilities for future advancement consideration
