Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Six months to one-year related experience and/or training
- Physical ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds frequently
- Ability to stand or sit for eight hours at a time
- Ability to walk and use hands for handling meat and tools
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work in a team environment
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications

- Six months to one-year related experience and/or training
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Strong attention to detail in cutting and trimming meat
- Knowledge of meat products and preparation techniques
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members
- Physical ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company
Job Duties
- Cuts, trims, and bones carcass sections or prime cuts to reduce to cooking cuts such as roasts, steaks, chops, stew cubes, and grinding meat
- Works out by products assuring nothing gets old
- Breaks veal and lamb
- Cuts and weighs steaks and chops for individual servings
- Shapes and ties roasts, fills showcase once the meat has been cut
- Receives, inspects, and stores meat upon delivery
- Informs the Meat Manager on the status of stock especially the shortage of items
- Provides information to customers about all the cuts of lamb, pork, beef, poultry, and types of sausage, convenience items, and self-serve items
- Prepares convenience items for the showcase including kabobs, stir-fry, stuffed items, and marinated items
- Provides customers with information regarding the preparation of products in the showcase
- Learns Assistant Manager job responsibilities for consideration of future advancement
