Job Requirements
- Must be 18 or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food safety training
- Six months or less of related work experience
- Ability to exert up to 85 pounds occasionally
- Ability to exert up to 40 pounds frequently
- Ability to exert up to 10 pounds constantly
- Visual ability including depth perception and color vision
- Ability to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Ability to follow sanitation and safety procedures
- Willingness to work in a cool and damp environment with frequent noise exposure
- Ability to use knives, grinders, slicers, and other equipment safely
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen
Job Qualifications

- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- Ability to do simple addition and subtraction
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions

- Ability to request supplies orally or in writing
Job Duties
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
- Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
- Makes an effort to learn customers' names and address them
- Assists customers by escorting to products, securing out of reach items, loading/unloading heavy goods, passing along suggestions
- Answers telephone promptly and takes customer orders
- Works with co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction
- Wraps, weighs, and labels products
- Reviews food for freshness, stocks and rotates product
- Performs trimming on steaks, roasts, chops and seafood
- Prepares and organizes seafood display items
- Practices proper sanitation and maintains cleanliness
- Replenishes and organizes coolers
- Reports out-of-stock products
- Trays, slices, tenderizes, and grinds product
- Removes trash timely
- Maintains personal hygiene and dress standards
- Adheres to company policies and store guidelines
- Reports to work on time
- Prepares signs for the department
- Orders merchandise as directed
- Assists other store areas as needed
- Performs other job related duties and special projects as required
