Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • valid Class D driver's license
  • clean driving record
  • ability to lift and carry meals
  • reliable transportation and punctuality
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work independently and responsibly
  • availability to work Monday through Friday mornings
  • experience working with older adults preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • a valid Class D driver’s license
  • previous work experience as a driver preferred
  • excellent driving record
  • patience, tact, and positive attitude
  • ability to work independently and as a team player
  • flexibility and personal integrity
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies

Job Duties

  • Pick up meals from the Home Delivered Meals kitchen
  • deliver meals to seniors on a specified route
  • observe and assess meal consumption
  • assess home situations of seniors
  • interact compassionately with customers
  • report any concerns regarding seniors’ well-being or safety to management immediately
  • maintain documentation including collecting and filing menus
  • return food carriers to the main kitchen
