Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must pass all pre-employment testing including drug testing and physical examination
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English proficiently
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to stand for long periods at ticket counters and gate check-in areas
  • Will be exposed to respiratory irritants such as jet fumes
  • Must pass FBI criminal background check and obtain a customs seal
  • Must successfully complete and pass the initial new hire classroom and on-the-job training
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of computer software programs

Job Duties

  • Oversee gate and counter operations ensuring first-class guest experience
  • Comfortably and continuously move or lift customer luggage averaging 50 pounds including some exceeding 75 pounds
  • Ensure accuracy of all weight and balance requirements
  • Promptly handle all customer service complaints focusing on positive resolution
  • Complete all check-in procedures including handling reservations, ticketing, seating assignments, airport announcements and checking international documentation
  • Assist customers with special needs and unaccompanied minors
  • Operate jet ways requiring work at heights and responsible for opening and closing aircraft doors
  • Read and interpret aircraft loading manifests and baggage and cargo routing tags
  • Ensure safe and secure operations in accordance with health, safety, security and government statutory requirements
  • Train new Passenger Service Agents
  • Perform other duties as assigned
