Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of bakery experience
- completion of company orientation, food safety, and sanitation training upon hire
- ability to function in a fast-paced retail environment and perform detailed and precise tasks
- ability to interact effectively with customers
- physical ability to frequently stand and walk, constantly reach at waist and grasp
- occasionally reach at overhead, shoulder, knee, and floor
- occasionally bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, stair climb, pivot, twist, arm push/pull, pinch, and use fine motor skills
- able to occasionally be exposed to wet, cold, hot conditions and loud noise
- able to lift up to 50 lbs and manage loads heavier than 50 lbs with assistance

Job Duties
- Provide superior customer service
- take orders from customers by telephone or in person
- answer customer questions regarding products and assist with selections
- use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales
- apply proficient baking/frying skills including equipment set-up, operation, cleaning, and maintenance
- use production tools to plan baking/frying
- apply proper baking/frying techniques according to visual training aids
- plan and break out proper amount of baked goods daily
- ensure quality control of all products before sending to sales floor
- ensure baked/fried product reaches showcase and tables at prescribed times
- prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product effectively
- slice, package, label, and rotate products
- record production and shrink to aid in production planning
- clean and sanitize display cases
- maintain production area according to standard operating procedures
- comply with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards
- comply with department/store operating procedures
- operate and maintain all equipment properly
