Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 3-5 years culinary experience including supervisory responsibilities
  • availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to comply with company policies and safety regulations
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen duties

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a supervisory culinary role
  • strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • excellent leadership and team-building skills

  • proficiency in menu development and recipe consistency
  • effective communication and problem-solving abilities
  • familiarity with luxury or high-volume hospitality environments
  • culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Train, mentor, and coach all culinary staff to execute McArthur’s menu at a high level
  • conduct daily line checks to verify food quality and promptly address issues
  • collaborate with the Chef de Cuisine and Front of House team on creative menu specials
  • recruit and hire new team members and provide ongoing training and performance evaluations
  • monitor internal communications for staffing needs and align with senior leadership
  • oversee day-to-day kitchen operations ensuring efficiency and compliance with standards
  • maintain accurate inventory levels and enforce proper stock rotation to minimize waste
  • keep comprehensive knowledge of menus and recipes to guarantee consistency
  • perform routine quality checks during prep and service
  • provide leadership and mentorship to junior kitchen staff
  • enforce compliance with food safety and health regulations
  • support budget management by optimizing ingredient usage and tracking expenditures
  • ensure timely completion of production lists
  • uphold freshness and quality standards for all products
  • communicate effectively to address operational needs and resolve challenges
  • respond rapidly to last-minute menu changes and special requests
  • engage with diners to accommodate dietary needs and ensure satisfaction
  • coordinate with stewarding, engineering, and front of house departments
  • demonstrate commitment to safety and maintain professional attitude and appearance
