Job Requirements
- BS degree in business preferred
- Minimum of two years experience running MRP in manufacturing or relevant materials department experience
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of purchasing and inventory control procedures
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to analyze data and summarize trends
Job Duties
- Verify purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list
- Clarify unclear items and recommend alternatives
- Forward available inventory items by verifying stock and scheduling delivery
- Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price and obtaining department approval
- Obtain purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers and expediting orders
- Verify receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered and resolve shipment errors with suppliers
- Authorize payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation
