Job Requirements
- Training or experience sufficient to perform the duties of the position
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities related to furniture transportation and staging
- Capability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting over 40 pounds
- Willingness to work in adverse conditions including hot, cold, and drafty environments
- Availability to perform a variety of duties during a tour of duty shift
- Ability to follow safety and work protocols strictly
- Must meet qualifications by the closing date of 10/22/2025
Job Qualifications
- Evidence of training or experience relevant to furniture handling and staging
- Ability to interpret instructions and specifications other than blueprints
- Proven dexterity and attention to safety practices
- Ability to work without more than normal supervision
- Familiarity with work practices related to material handling and setup
- Experience operating materials handling equipment preferred
- Physical capability to handle heavy lifting and maneuver equipment safely
Job Duties
- Transport furniture to various locations within the medical center and outpatient clinics
- Set up and stage furniture according to interior design specifications
- Prepare materials and equipment needed for furniture installation and staging
- Operate materials handling equipment such as forklifts and hand trucks
- Load and unload furniture and supplies from delivery vehicles
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all aspects of furniture handling and staging
- Collaborate with the Interior Designer and other staff to support project requirements
