This position is located in the Warehouse area of the Logistics Service within a Veteran Affairs Health Care System (VA HCS), serving the medical supply needs of an assigned Veterans Administration medical facility and its supported catchment area. Job Requirements
- evidence of training or experience sufficient to perform warehouse work
- ability to meet physical demands including lifting heavy loads
- skill in handling equipment and materials
- capability to work in various environmental conditions
- compliance with safety standards and use of personal protective equipment
- physical dexterity and coordination
- willingness to work in outdoor and potentially hazardous conditions
Job Qualifications
- experience or training demonstrating knowledge, skills, and ability to perform warehouse duties
- ability to safely handle heavy and awkward materials

Job Duties
- handle or oversee one or more product lines
- oversee a segment of a large warehouse
- serve as senior employee in a smaller warehouse or supply facility
- load and unload trucks
- lift and handle boxes frequently weighing over 40 pounds
- operate material handling equipment safely
- follow instructions and technical practices with minimal supervision
