Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- physical ability to lift and handle materials
- strong communication skills
- valid driver’s license
- willingness to work rotating shifts including some weekends
- commitment to safety protocols
Job Qualifications
- Six months operating small equipment experience preferred
- 2+ years working with customers face to face in high volume environments
- basic computer skills
- good interpersonal and customer service skills
- ability to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- accuracy in operation and attention to detail
- knowledge in inventory control
Job Duties
- Inspect various grades of material upon delivery into the yard
- sort and upgrade materials to meet quality standards
- operate small equipment such as shears, balers, loaders, and forklifts
- assist with purchasing various grades of material from customers
- assist customers with unloading their material
- assist with packing and loading materials prior to shipment
- operate crane as necessary to provide overflow coverage
