Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 1+ years of expediting material handling experience
- experience operating a forklift and or material handling motorized vehicles and equipment such as trucks or trailers
- typical hours for this position, excluding overtime, are Tuesday through Saturday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm
- valid driver’s license
- lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
- must be available for overtime and weekends as the schedule varies depending on site operational needs
- flexibility is required
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- typically exposed to work in extreme outdoor environments - heat, cold, rain
- to conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 1+ years of expediting material handling experience
- experience operating a forklift and or material handling motorized vehicles and equipment such as trucks or trailers
- experience working within a manufacturing production environment
- experience with barcode scanning to document material movement
- experience working with aircraft or automotive parts and assemblies
- enterprise resource planning system experience such as SAP or Oracle
- rigging experience
- fragile item packaging experience
- class A commercial driver’s license
Job Duties
- Support production engineering with the movement of parts to support the master schedule
- safely load, secure, and transport equipment such as packages, hardware, and inventory items in support of flight or ground support equipment operations
- physically move and expedite materials when required in support of production engineering and meet work order completion dates
- verify all materials are packaged and banded for transport, and assist with loading and unloading of trucks
- support operations for flight vehicles
- verify all material transported for conformity with accompanying paperwork, checking for damage, correct part numbers, quantity, and revisions
- interface with receiving, quality control, purchasing, and other related departments to resolve problems relative to the receipt and distribution of material
- operate material handling equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, trucks, trailers, and hand carts
- use an electronic material requirements planning system to route parts and components to the proper departments
- perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment
