Job Requirements
- Previous experience involving heavy lifting and safety awareness preferred
- Previous warehouse or related experience preferred
- Forklift operation experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites including Excel and PowerPoint preferred
- Proficient computer skills preferred
- Inventory management experience preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent education
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Basic ability to convert units of weights and measurements
- Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Must be flexible and willing to work any shift in a 24 hour/7 day a week operation including early mornings, afternoons, late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Successful completion of testing/interview
- Reliable and punctual attendance
Job Duties
- Performs work generally recognized as storekeeper's work in storeroom areas including receiving, issuing, provisioning, checking, classifying, inventorying and storing of supplies, equipment, parts and materials
- Opens, packages and seals boxes and crates
- Works indoors and outdoors exposed to a variety of weather conditions, noises, fumes and machinery
- Climbs and works from ladders, bends and stoops in confined areas, stands and/or walks for extended periods
- Handles heavy lifting, pushing and pulling when loading and unloading trucks, carts and conveyors
- Fuels assigned vehicles
- Transports parts and materials between locations, sorts and counts items, prepares labels and ticketing documents
- Reads and interprets documents or instructions to build kits for aircraft change orders, first aid, in-flight and charter services
- Maintains an orderly and safe work area while adhering to operating procedures, rules and regulations
- Operates equipment including forklifts, trucks, tractors, tugs and electric carts
- Uses hand tools such as remote computer terminal sets, bag sealers, saws, mobile radios, shears, knives and staplers
- Handles hazardous, flammable materials and hazardous waste
- Converts units of weights and measurements
- Uses a computer to track inventory
