Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- One or more years previous experience in material handling, truck driving, or manufacturing experience required
- Fork truck certification completed
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures
- Ability to operate fork trucks, pallet jacks, hand trucks
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work within a team environment
Job Duties
- Ensures timely delivery of consumable materials to production lines
- Disposes of non-conforming materials and waste
- Uses fork truck, hand truck pallet jack, or similar equipment to transfer materials and products
- Transfers returnable containers and finished goods between loading docks and operator stations
- Moves materials and/or finished goods to and from satellite storage buildings
- Shrink wraps pallets of finished goods to prepare for shipment
- Assists with housekeeping tasks
- Makes service calls for fork trucks as needed
- Orders packaging materials
- Assists personnel with specific project assignments
- May assist production workers with packaging or labeling boxes
- Trains personnel as required
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
