Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
  • One to two years industry related experience preferred
  • May require forklift certification
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Good or corrected vision
  • Ability to add and subtract
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner

Job Duties

  • Performs various manual operations and operates equipment in a warehouse and logistics process
  • Receives, identifies, stores, picks and moves goods and material
  • Serve as the lead to distribute work assignments and daily activities to team members
  • Promote safe work practices
  • Follow and ensure quality standards are adhered to
  • Post the performance numbers for the area
  • Oversee loading and unloading of products
  • Manage material organization by moving materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas
  • Coordinate receipt, storage and distribution of materials, tools, equipment, and products within assigned area
  • Comply with legal procedures for handling and receiving goods
  • Ensure proper labeling, tagging and packing of goods and materials in assigned area
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets/shelves, move orders to packing station or shipping department
  • Open bales, crates and other containers
  • Assist in receiving cargo by removing from truck manually or using hand equipment
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code
