Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • greater than three years of related experience
  • forklift certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire
  • physical ability to stand or sit for long periods
  • physical ability to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch and climb
  • ability to lift and move 50 pounds regularly
  • must be punctual and consistently at work
  • ability to follow safety protocols
  • must be on-site during working hours

Job Qualifications

  • ability to read, comprehend and complete basic checklists and forms

Job Duties

  • Check for vendor accuracy
  • create bill of ladings (BOLs)
  • validate no damage to cargo
  • ensure correct labeling
  • perform quality checklist
  • sign off on load accuracy
  • handle hazardous materials
  • packing
  • check MSDS and required paperwork
  • fill client orders safely and efficiently within Crane SOPs
  • ensure distribution activities comply with internal quality standards and maintain safe work environment
  • read and follow work orders
  • ascertain materials or container loads to be moved
  • operate forklift and other warehouse equipment
  • load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, shelves using equipment
  • load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing or padding
  • count, weigh and record units on production sheet
  • attach identifying tags or labels
  • scan freight via warehouse management system with RF equipment
  • complete paperwork thoroughly and promptly
  • perform housekeeping tasks
  • accurately and courteously load merchandise
  • presence on-site required
  • participate in Safety Committee
  • train and demonstrate competency in training others
  • know all accounts and perform every floor function in the branch
  • perform other duties as assigned
