Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in material handling or receiving
  • Ability to operate yard dog including hooking and unhooking with storage box trailer
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work in an environment with exposure to odor, noise, heat, cold, dust, and chemicals
  • Willingness to work a 40-hour week with overtime as needed
  • Strong physical ability to perform unloading and material handling tasks
  • Must adhere to safety and quality procedures
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience operating yard dog or similar equipment
  • Knowledge of raw material handling and receiving processes
  • Ability to follow GMP and Food Safety standards
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safety and quality
  • Ability to work under varying environmental conditions
  • Valid driver’s license

Job Duties

  • Use yard dog to pull loaded trailer into bulk unloading pit
  • Weigh and sample load according to established raw ingredient specifications including bulk density readings
  • Complete written documentation for load receipt, weight, and reporting to Operations Manager, quality control, and Plant Controller
  • Perform unloading of raw materials to minimize product shrink
  • Collaborate with plant production team to ensure timely unloading to meet production schedules
  • Operate unloading equipment to transfer raw materials to storage
  • Maintain cleanliness of unloading dock
  • Follow and uphold GMP standards consistently
  • Propose and implement continuous improvement ideas in assigned area
  • Participate in quarterly and year-end inventory processes
  • Conduct daily physical inventory counts of plant-in, drop trailers, hopper bottom trailers, and bulk bins
  • Minimize truck time on site at the facility
  • Interact professionally with truck drivers
  • Enforce company Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
