Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • less than one-year related experience
  • forklift certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire
  • ability to use vision and adjust focus to work on a computer screen
  • ability to stand or sit for long periods
  • ability to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch and frequently climb or balance
  • ability to regularly lift or move 50 pounds by hand
  • successful completion of forklift training
  • ability to follow safety protocols
  • ability to perform physical tasks required in warehouse environment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Fills client orders safely and efficiently within Crane SOPs
  • responsible for ensuring distribution activities comply with internal quality standards and maintain a safe work environment
  • reads and follows work orders to determine materials or container loads to be moved
  • operates forklifts and other drivable warehouse equipment such as reach trucks and rider jacks after successful training
  • authorized to use pallet jack, rider jack, stand up and sit down equipment
  • not authorized to use order/cherry picker, turret truck, reach truck over 5K, or perform heavy lifts
  • loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or forklift
  • loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
  • counts, weighs and records number of units of materials moved on daily production sheet
  • attaches identifying tags or labels to materials
  • scans freight using warehouse management system with RF equipment
  • completes required paperwork promptly and thoroughly
  • performs housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment
  • accurately and courteously loads client merchandise
  • on-site presence required at assigned work location
  • performs other duties as assigned
