Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • some warehouse experience
  • ability to work with moderate supervision
  • bilingual preferred but not required
  • must be safety conscious
  • able to lift at least 25 pounds
  • punctual and dependable attendance
  • free from alcohol and drug abuse
  • ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • shift flexibility and overtime availability

Job Duties

  • Assists drivers with loading and unloading of bins
  • create soft and hard goods bins for drivers
  • load and unload trucks or trailers including raw donations, trash, and salvage
  • segregate soft goods, hard goods, and trash
  • ensure all items are marked correctly such as donations, commodities, salvage
  • sort recyclables in proper containers including metal, plastic, and cardboard
  • build and palletize empty gaylords for commodities ensuring adequate support for heavier items
  • operate equipment like auger, compactor, tipper, down-stroke baler, auto-tie by following procedures
  • use material handling equipment such as pallet jack, hand truck, furniture dolly
  • clear post-retail textile tables of trash and commodities
  • clean, organize, and sweep the warehouse to ensure a safe environment
  • lift and carry a minimum of 25 pounds
