Job Requirements
- Minimal ability to read and write
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds
- Ability to perform physical activities such as bending, carrying, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching above shoulder, reaching shoulder and below, standing, stooping, talking, throwing, turning body, twisting body, walking
- Ability to work indoors with occasional exposure to outdoor dust
- Punctual and regular attendance
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy policies
- Willingness to attend safety training and drills
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- Minimal ability to read and write
- Prior customer service experience is a plus
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions tactfully
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions

- Ability to operate basic office equipment including computer, telephone, cell phone, tablet, fax and copy machine

Job Duties
- Complete opening activities including doors, cone placement for trucks, prep for truck switch and donation drive through set up
- Move, sort, select and properly display merchandise in accordance with company procedures, including lifting up to 70 pounds
- Tag and hang textiles, price wares, shoes and furniture, and distribute products to sales floor
- Receive and process donated goods, direct donors to appropriate locations and issue receipts
- Perform record keeping of daily activities, donation counts and processing reports
- Maintain cleanliness of donation area, bathrooms and store interior and exterior including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and trash recovery
- Cover coworkers' break times cooperatively and contribute to team efforts
- Prepare salvage items including creating boxes, sorting, wrapping bulk furniture and gaylords for transportation
- Build boxed furniture for sales floor placement
- Assist with pricing items using company pricing lists
- Complete closing activities such as doors, cone retrieval, cleaning water stations, donation drive through tear down and sales floor recovery
- Comply with safety and loss prevention policies and procedures
- Provide customer service by assisting donors and greeting customers while promoting a positive public image
- Ensure safe work conditions and report safety hazards
- Maintain high level of confidentiality and attend required meetings and training
- Perform other duties as assigned
