Job Requirements
- must be willing and able to work a 12-hour rotating shift environment including holidays, weekends, and required overtime
- must be able to successfully complete a background check and drug test
- must be willing and able to work in a team environment
- must meet minimum physical requirements to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs and exert up to 75 pounds pull
- ability to work on uneven and slippery surfaces and in adverse weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- minimum high school diploma/GED
- proficiency with computer programs such as Word and Excel
- strong communication skills
- experience in chemical operations preferred (at least 1 year)
- forklift license preferred
- ability to manage multiple priorities
- demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- basic computer and troubleshooting skills
- strong work ethic and initiative to learn processes
- ability to work at elevated heights (greater than 50 feet)
- comfortable working in confined spaces
Job Duties
- loading, warehousing, and shipping of tankers, boxes, sacks and overseas bulk containers by using various processes (manual and mechanical)
- participate in AdvanSix operating system principles such as standard work, 5S, continuous improvement
- obtain a forklift license
- participate in scheduled and unscheduled outages
- train unqualified material handlers
- additional responsibilities as needed
