Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in material handling or warehouse operations
- ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, or clamp trucks
- able to follow safety and operating procedures strictly
- able to perform physically demanding work including lifting up to 50 pounds consistently
- able to work standing and walking for extended periods
- able to wear required safety equipment such as hearing protection and steel-toed shoes
- good communication skills
- basic math proficiency
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience utilizing a reach truck preferred
- prior experience utilizing a clamp truck preferred
- ability to read and understand written instructions including Manufacturing Orders, Job Hazard Analysis, policies and procedures
- basic math skills for calculations
- good communication skills
- ability to work well in a team
- ability to complete shipping, receiving, and inventory forms accurately
- physical ability to lift and move materials between 25 to 50 pounds regularly
- comfortable standing for most of the shift
Job Duties
- Performs material handling manually or using equipment within the facility
- unloads materials and completes necessary paperwork for deliveries
- provides correct stock and cases to production machinery as per Manufacturing Orders to ensure continuous production flow
- unloads incoming materials safely and checks freight bill accuracy
- picks and prepares finished goods for shipment including proper wrapping and documentation
- performs operations and safety checks on equipment before use
- conducts cycle counts and informs supervisors of inventory status
- organizes and cleans work area according to standards
- reports mechanical problems or damage to supervisors promptly
- performs other duties as assigned
