Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- at least one year of related experience preferred
- ability to operate powered industrial vehicles
- forklift certification required
- ability to perform daily equipment checks
- basic computer literacy
- strong safety awareness
- ability to communicate effectively
- physical ability to work in elevated noise and temperature conditions
- ability to follow environmental and safety protocols
- able to work in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate, GED, or HSDE preferred
- one-year related experience preferred
- must demonstrate computer literacy
- must pass and maintain written and driving test for forklift certification
- ability to operate scan guns for movement of material and inventory and location check
- ability to read and understand Bills of Materials
- ability to operate shrink wrap machine and battery hoist
- follow safety procedures on forklift
- ability to work effectively in a team environment
- effectively communicate between line lead and area being serviced
- ability to band pallets
- must be watchful of pedestrian traffic
Job Duties
- Operate powered industrial vehicles such as lift trucks, high lifts, internal combustion or electric
- stage baskets at machines and move WIP throughout buildings
- check equipment daily, fluid levels, tires, etc. and complete daily check sheet
- load and unload trailers and scan all items
- verify pallets, crates, and boxes are correctly labeled and identified
- operate pallet wrapper and floor scale
- route and deliver goods to proper areas within the plant
- sweep up debris on the floors as needed
- stage baskets at machines for operators as needed
- occasionally operate cranes for moving and staging of coils
- know material hazards MSDS
- maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S procedures, rules, and regulations
- ability to stop the production line and/or prevent shipment of products due to nonconformance or potential nonconformance products to our customers
- support the environmental policy with proactive process implementation, improvement suggestions, reducing waste, and acting on environment performance results and findings
