Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 1+ years of expediting or material handling experience
  • Experience operating a forklift and or material handling motorized vehicles and equipment such as trucks or trailers
  • Typical hours for this position, excluding overtime, are Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00 pm to 1:30 am
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Must be available for overtime and weekends as the schedule varies depending on site operational needs
  • Flexibility is required
  • Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
  • Typically exposed to work in extreme outdoor environments including heat, cold, and rain

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 1+ years of expediting or material handling experience
  • Experience operating a forklift and or material handling motorized vehicles and equipment such as trucks or trailers
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment (preferred)
  • Experience with barcode scanning to document material movement (preferred)
  • Experience working with aircraft or automotive parts and assemblies (preferred)
  • Enterprise resource planning system experience such as SAP or Oracle (preferred)
  • Rigging experience (preferred)
  • Fragile item packaging experience (preferred)
  • Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) (preferred)

Job Duties

  • Support production and engineering with the movement of parts to support the master schedule
  • Safely load, secure, and transport equipment such as packages, hardware, and inventory items in support of flight or ground support equipment operations
  • Physically move and expedite materials when required in support of production and engineering and meet work order completion dates
  • Verify all materials are packaged and banded for transport, and assist with loading and unloading of trucks
  • Support operations for flight vehicles
  • Verify all material transported for conformity with accompanying paperwork, checking for damage, correct part numbers, quantity, and revisions
  • Interface with receiving, quality control, purchasing, and other related departments to resolve problems relative to the receipt and distribution of material
  • Operate material handling equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, trucks, trailers, and hand carts
  • Use an electronic material requirements planning system to route parts and components to the proper departments
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment
