Job Requirements
- At least six months forklift operating experience including sit-down, reach and stand-up forklifts
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs occasionally from ground to waist height
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally from waist to shoulder height
- Ability to carry up to 55 lbs occasionally up to 5 feet
- Ability to pull a 55 lb bag from a height of 60 inches occasionally
- Willingness to wear all required personal protective equipment
- Availability to work Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm shift
- Ability to work safely around common allergens such as milk, soy, wheat, egg, peanut, and tree nuts
- Adherence to OSHA safety standards and company policies
- Physical ability to perform manual labor and warehouse tasks
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum six months of sit-down, reach and stand-up forklift experience
- Experience in a food environment or consumer product manufacturing preferred
- Experience using warehouse management system (WMS) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) system with RF scanning is a plus
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 55 lbs occasionally
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Job Duties
- Load, unload, move, count/pick, stack and stage product and materials using stand-up forklift, sit-down forklift, regular reach truck and other material handling equipment as required
- Perform about 95% forklift operation and 5% other warehouse duties including cleaning activities and manual labor
- Cross-train and assist other departments as needed to support operations
- Accurately pull and prepare product for production or shipment, completing documentation correctly using RH scanners
- Inspect materials during picking, shipping and receiving to ensure product accuracy and report any discrepancies
- Wear personal protective equipment including lab coat, steel-toe boots/shoes, safety glasses, bump cap, hearing protection, hair net, beard net, and nitrile gloves
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently following OSHA standards and company safety policies
- Support and promote warehouse safety and report issues to management
- Work with known allergens and powders in the warehouse environment
- Practice continuous safety procedures at all times
