Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • proven experience as a forklift operator
  • valid Basic Forklift Safety Training Class Certificate
  • basic computer literacy
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • physical capability to lift and move materials safely
  • punctuality and reliable attendance
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or general education degree (GED)
  • experience operating forklift
  • basic forklift safety training class certificate
  • ability to learn and use basic computer skills and company-specific software
  • proficient in English

Job Duties

  • Operate forklift in all warehouse and fabrication shop operations
  • perform preshift forklift safety inspections
  • observe forklift operations to detect malfunctions and notify supervisor
  • pack orders and wrap, band or bundle for shipping
  • lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items manually or using forklift
  • count finished products to verify order completeness
  • mark or tag identification on parts
  • load and unload items from machines, tables, shelves, racks and turntables
  • help machine operators and production workers by loading and unloading materials
  • separate products according to weight, grade, size, and composition
  • place products on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting or wrapping
  • remove products, machine attachments, and waste material from machines
  • pack and store materials and products
  • tie products in bundles following prescribed procedures
  • transfer finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas
  • prepare raw materials for processing
  • count raw materials and products to ensure inventory
  • load and unload trucks
  • clean work areas, machines, equipment, vehicles, and products
  • repack, relabel, stack, and prepare products for stocking or shipping
  • assist with other areas in the shop, office, or warehouse as needed
  • maintain attendance and punctuality
  • perform other duties as assigned
