Job Requirements

- basic mechanical knowledge
- desire to accept additional responsibility and learn new tasks
- work in accordance with all company policies and procedures
- willingness to work overtime when needed
- ability to operate forklift proficiently and safely
- ability to differentiate between good and bad product quality and troubleshoot issues
- ability to operate a calculator and add up to 100 manually

Job Duties
- operate all PIT equipment per OSHA specifications including daily inspections and battery or propane tank changes
- perform final quality inspection of all products for correct packaging labeling and sealing prior to placement on stretch wrapper
- operate all stretch wrap machines within defined specifications without assistance
- operate and maintain label printer ensuring correct product color date time and label availability
- ensure staging areas are organized clean and per specifications throughout shift
- relieve other material handler personnel during breaks and meal periods
- perform housekeeping functions necessary to business operations from daily shift requirements to plant sanitation audits
- perform any and all job assignments functions as instructed by management
- maintain a clean and safe work area and report unsafe conditions to supervisor for resolution
- adhere to all safety policies including always wearing required PPE and model safety behavior
- report any major quality or food safety issues to supervisor
- perform additional duties as assigned
