Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Forklift certification
  • Six or more months experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • One or more years experience working with Microsoft programs and data entry
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Valid operator license for lift trucks and automobiles
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel for extended periods
  • Ability to follow safety policies and procedures
  • Basic understanding of inventory control processes
  • Ability to use computers and handheld devices for transaction recording

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Receive parts/materials shipments from carriers, verify order accuracy, complete related paperwork, electronically record transactions in SAP
  • Verify and count all incoming stock prior to assigning location
  • Perform all required transactions to maintain high level of inventory accuracy
  • Prepare parts/machines for packing, pack per customer/industry requirements, complete paperwork for shipment
  • Locate and disburse parts to production areas based on production requirements
  • Assist carriers with loading packages/crates to trucks
  • Prepare UPS shipments and properly record in computer system
  • Deliver and pick up parts/materials with company truck
  • Maintain operator license for lift trucks and automobile
  • Participate in daily inventory cycle counts
  • Maintain all related records
  • Assist in training and orientation of other material handlers and transferees
  • Assist coordinator with movement of material and paperwork within manufacturing and purchasing departments
  • Pull parts and deliver to proper locations with accuracy
  • Assist in stocking all incoming materials in proper locations and submit paperwork to inventory control coordinator
  • Utilize UPS tracking system
  • Correctly status and stock returns from assembly floor and customers
  • Assist in investigating and solving inventory problems
  • Identify, bag, count, and stock material in proper locations or assign usage and move to proper area for distribution
  • Accurately move parts/material to proper locations
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Read scales and other measuring devices
  • Verify that part name and physical part match
  • Utilize computer/hand held guns to handle required transactions
  • Transcribe part numbers accurately
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Operate power tools for construction of skids, boxes, crates used in shipping
  • Document condition of shipping containers and report damage
  • Ensure supervisor/coordinator notification and appropriate actions for damaged containers
  • Comply with all safety requirements
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Ensure care of equipment and tools assigned to area
