Job Requirements

  • High school education or GED preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience or open to entry-level candidates eager to start a career in warehousing
  • OSHA forklift and HAZMAT certification is a plus
  • Experience with material handling equipment like reach trucks and order pickers is a plus
  • Ability to safely lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to follow directions with an emphasis on safety
  • Ability to use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements

Job Duties

  • Unload trucks, trailers, and containers of freight, count products, and compare the manifest to check all shipments for damage, infestation, or production code dates
  • Report shortages, damages, and mis-shipments on appropriate forms
  • Sign for inbound shipments when necessary
  • Safely store all inbound shipments in designated locations and efficiently stack store merchandise
  • Ensure the correct product number, quantity, and type of product are selected during order picking
  • Transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms using material handling equipment
  • Label, stencil, tag, mark orders, band, bundle, wrap, over-pack, and palletize as required
  • Compare quantity, labeling, and address with the order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct
  • Assign a signature for outbound emails as necessary
  • Efficiently move products, cartons, and pallets into trailers, rail cars, or containers for outbound shipping
  • Maintain equipment in a neat, clean, orderly fashion and operate equipment safely and efficiently
  • Comply with company standards and OSHA requirements
  • Keep accurate records and reports of inventory
  • Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts
  • Ensure proper stock rotation
  • Key inventory adjustments in the computer if necessary
  • Repack or re-box cases per customer instructions
  • Repair and consolidate damaged goods as required
  • Operate the shrink-wrap machine
  • Charge the forklift battery as needed
  • Stack and separate good pallets from bad ones
  • Clean railcars, trailers, and truck docks and bays as requested
  • Perform other duties as assigned
